Brilliant Single Red Hibiscus is a vigorous, bushy growing tropical hibiscus cultivar that is suitable for growing in tropical and sub tropical landscapes or as a potted plant for the porch, poolside, or patio.
Tropical hibiscus are fast growing woody, flowering shrubs that have perhaps the largest number of bloom color variations of any species, there are literally thousands. Some, like Brilliant Red are easy to grow cultivars that are suitable for the landscape, and other hybrids, generally classified as 'Exotic' are fussy, and not recommended for the novice gardener.
Left unpruned, Brilliant Single Red Hibiscus will reach a mature height of about 3' to 4', but is easy to maintain at lower heights. Frequent pruning is beneficial and helps the plant grower bushier and stronger.
The flowers are large, saucer sized, classic hibiscus flowers in bright, deep, ruby red, with an attractive blended darker red almost black throat. Brilliant Single Red Hibiscus is a prolific and reliable bloomer.
