Attract Butterflies

It’s funny how our human aversion to insects vanishes in the presence of butterflies.  Watching their colorful wings and delicate structure appeals to our imaginations and rekindle that spark of child like wonder in even the most mature and serious  minded ‘adult’.

Increasing the number of butterflies coming into your garden is easy.  Just plant nectar rich plants that they love for food, host  plants where caterpillars can develop and grow and then sit and enjoy the show.   An enjoyable butterfly garden can be created to satisfy the needs of every gardener.

The project can be as small and simple as adding some colorful lantanas to window box, or designing a large space with the goal of attracting specific species.

Butterfly watching can be a fun and education project for children.  Many learning skills can be practiced by photographing, researching and learning about different species, their life cycles and needs.

Our selection includes many simple and easy to grow varieties to get a new Butterfly Garden established or to supplement an existing Gardens.
