Hibiscus

Tropical Hibiscus (hibiscus rosa senisis) are fast growing woody, flowering shrubs that have perhaps the largest number of bloom color variations of any species, there are literally thousands. These are the plants that are the easily recognizable symbols of a warm, relaxed tropical paradise.

These types of hibiscus are tropical, meaning they must be protected from frost and freezing temperatures. However, these beautiful plants are a favorite of choice through out all climates.

Their quick, vigorous growth, and short intervals between bloom cycles make it possible for those in colder climates to grow them as annuals. Tropical hibiscus are well suited to potted culture and can placed outdoors in the warm season and brought indoors for the winter.

They can be grown as houseplants with adequate supplemental lightening.
